2026 Firefighter of the Year Nominations
Utah State Firefighters' Association Convention Attendance Grants
To increase camaraderie and attendance at the Utah State Firefighters' Association (USFA) Conventions, the Board of Directors feels it is in the best interest of the Association to offer a grant up to a maximum of $250.00 per firefighter, so members of the Association can attend annual conventions. This grant opportunity is available for all members who are in good standing with the USFA.
Grant applications and letters need to be submitted to the Secretary of the USFA no later than the first Friday in January of the year the applicant is applying for. At the January Quarterly meeting, the Board of Directors will review the applications and award the top qualifying members their grant. The monies that are awarded for the grant shall only be used for convention-associated activities. It shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient to submit receipts to the Treasurer of the USFA for the awarded $250 by the July Quarterly meeting so that those monies can be reimbursed. Below are the requirements of the applicant.

Applicant Requirements
1. Complete the online application form no later than the first Friday in January of the year the applicant is applying for.
2. Submit a letter of interest as to why you should be considered to receive the grant with your application form.
3. Be an active member in good standing with the USFA.
4. Shall submit receipts for the $250.00 to be reimbursed through the grant to the USFA Treasurer by the July Quarterly meeting in the year the grant was awarded.
